The purpose is to confirm whether there is internal homogeneity in the trust that citizens place in political accountability institutions, such as the government, parliament, political parties or even the Monarchy. The article analyzes the specific evolution of the perception about the Monarchy, showing that such perception has behaved differently as compared to other “unaccountable institutions” during the recent period of political and economic crisis. It also presents the effects that the perception on the political and economic context has on it.Este artículo investiga la confianza en la Monarquía en España durante la crisis económica reciente, en relación con otras instituciones políticas. El artículo diferencia la opinión pública sobre las instituciones políticas en función de si rinden o no cuentas ante el electorado. El propósito es confirmar si hay homogeneidad interna en la confianza que los ciudadanos depositan en las instituciones políticas de rendición de cuentas como el Gobierno, el Parlamento, los partidos políticos o la Monarquía. El artículo analiza la evolución específica de la percepción sobre la Monarquía, mostrando que esta percepción ha tenido un comportamiento distinto a otras instituciones no responsables durante la reciente etapa de crisis política y económica.
