It shows the ethical order, as long as it treats of the mediation of liberty in social institutions, as objective dimension of dignity.O artigo procura mostrar que a liberdade como princípio orientador da Filosofia do Direito de Hegel é a expressão da dignidade da pessoa humana. Toma como ponto de partida a noção de pessoa de direito, enquanto capacidade legal, e que confere a fundamental igualdade de todos como portadores de direitos subjetivos. Considera o direito de moralidade, enquanto direito de saber e querer, como dimensão fundamental da preservação da dignidade do ponto de vista subjetivo.
