Summary: The connection between private employment agencies and trade unions shows in very expressive terms the effects that the growth of these entities has caused on labor markets. Although occasionally it is possible to find some points of common interest, the relationship between them will be usually conflictive. Trade unions in its activity of representation and support of workers, must seek the equalization of working conditions between the workers of the private employment agency and the employees of the customer company. Even to develop the intermediation activity themselves. Anyway, the regulatory trends highlight that the broad recognition that ILO Convention 181 granted to these entities endangers some of the paradigms about decent work that this organization advocates.
