Summary: This paper analyses the federal coercion in the Basic Law for the Federal Republic of Germany. The Federal coercion allows the Central State to respond to a breach of the federal obligations by the federated states. The literature has not developed a theory of the federal coercion for the German Constitution. The function and the content of the federal coercion in the current german Constitution has been imported of the category of the federal execution, arisen from the xix German confederation system and based on a different concept of Constitution and decentralized State.
