Cryptography is addressed as guarantor of the legal security of the notarial electronic document; As well as the performance of the public notary before the new challenges of computer science.Dans le présent travail est réalisée une étude doctrinale et juridique de la figure du document électronique et sa visibilité dans l'environnement cubain. Des évaluations techniques sont faites sur la pertinence du document électronique en tant que garantie ou défi dans le contexte cubain actuel. Les fondamentaux de la signature numérique dans le document électronique sont analysés. La cryptographie est adressée comme garant de la sécurité juridique du document notarié numérique; ainsi que la performance du notaire devant les nouveaux défis de l'informatique.No presente trabalho é realizado um estudo doutrinário e jurídico da figura do documento eletrônico e sua visibilidade no ambiente cubano. Avaliações técnicas são feitas sobre a relevância do documento eletrônico como garantia ou desafio no atual contexto cubano. Os fundamentos da assinatura digital no documento eletrônico são analisados. A criptografia é tratada como fiadora da segurança jurídica do documento notarial eletrônico; bem como o desempenho do notário diante dos novos desafios da ciência da computação.En el presente trabajo se realiza un estudio doctrinal y jurídico de la figura del documento electrónico y su visibilidad en el entorno cubano.
