Summary: The latent environmental crisis has apparently shaken the commercial sector in recent years, placing the prevailing need to release the exchange of environmental goods and services (BSA) becoming the main point in the agenda of many international trade organizations. Through the application of a dialectical method that determines the study of a phenomenon in its interrelation with others, in this particular case the environmental and commercial world, the present article examines a series of perceptions and theories about the commercial easement of the BSA starting from the challenges that must be overcome to seek effective environmental protection from the commercial context, but at the same time praising the main advantages of a complete elimination of barriers for the exchange of this type of goods and services, that can be possible through the implementation of opportune mechanisms.
