In spite of the fact that these procedures are essential for the proper functioning of any system, and that, for the most part, the quality, reliability and pertinence of the information that is managed depends on them, it is not usual for them to exist in cooperative organizations. even in most cases they are not written. The objective of this research is to establish a procedure to design an information management system for research in a production cooperative linked directly to research. The result obtained allows identifying, defining and structuring the data required by the system to operate efficiently, as well as articulate the different components that should integrate it in its systemic development. This procedure facilitates the efficient management of operative, functional and strategic information of the different processes of a cooperative in correspondence with its strategic objectives.Los sistemas de gestión de información de las organizaciones emprendedoras tienen concebido que los cumplimientos de los objetivos estratégicos dependan en gran medida del buen desempeño de varias tareas informativas como la obtención de información del entorno, la identificación y representación de los flujos de información de los procesos, la estructuración de los datos operacionales y funcionales, la gestión interna de los conocimientos, etc. Pero a su vez, el logro de estas acciones depende de que existan  un grupo de procederes que conduzcan la adecuada estandarización de los datos. A pesar, de que estos procedimientos son esenciales para el correcto funcionamiento de cualquier sistema, y que de ellos dependa, en su gran mayoría, la calidad, confiabilidad y pertinencia de la información que se gestiona, no es habitual su existencia en organizaciones cooperativas e incluso en la mayoría de los casos no se encuentran escritos.  El objetivo de esta investigación es fundamentar un procedimiento para diseñar un sistema de gestión de información para la investigación en una Cooperativa de producción vinculada directamente a la investigación. El resultado obtenido permite identificar, definir y estructurar los datos requeridos por el sistema para operar de forma eficiente, así como articular los diferentes componentes que lo deben integrar en su desarrollo sistémico.
