Summary: This paper asks about: how the fear has become in the most relevant aspect into the governmentality process in Mexico and Colombia? Also, it takes over that the fear expansion is due to a contemporary governmentality and it is not only a subjective problem. The research process was based on the strategies of eventalization and problematization proposed by Michael Foucault, and using the device analytical tool from the same author, to understand that the fear is a strategy force to build other kinds of reality. On the other hand, during the first decade in XXI Century, the security has been use to fear consolidation through the governmentality device.
