The present study offers a theoretical explication to the phenomenon of imitation of
murderers, known as “copycat”. A trip on this concept and trough the main
characteristics of these murderous imitators will be provided. It then reaches the key
point of this research, where the reader can find the differences between the different
types of “copycat killers” based on two different elements: the motivation they find and
the sort of people they imitate. Finally, attention is drawn to the mistakes when
calling some murderers as imitators when actually they are not. |
