Through a critical vision, Germany has achieved the creation of an identity from four dimensions which enabled it to accomplish the overcoming of its past: the political institutional dimension which implied to establish absolute limits founded on the natural right in order to avoid totalitarism and to obtain a solid economical reconstruction; the juridical personal one through a process of determination of responsibilities, the elimination of the Nazi presence in diverse instances, and the corresponding economical reparations; the biographical existential dimension through the opening of discussion about the national identity by generalizing the categories of guilty and awareness; and the theoretical spiritual which consists of a reeducation of the German people. The results obtained are an example for the world. |
