Summary: The liberalizing reforms in Chile since the eighties have deeply marked the functioning of labor market, by imposing conditions that have resulted in greater job insecurity. While many reforms have been implemented under the idea that would create more and better jobs, this has not always been so. The purpose of this study is to analyze the concept of fl exicurity and how it can fi nd application in the Chilean labor market, as well as the conditions it has to adopt in order to implement a model of fl exicurity. In addition we´ll analyze to the consequences that implementing a fl exicurity model will bring in the terms it has done in some European countries.
