Sumario: Perspective distortion is one oí the main problems faced by the forensic image analyst trying to know the exact dimensions, representing individualization by superimposition, or even having to 'quarter' a flat surface vestige images. This type of distortion happens when we are to take an image and the camera optical axis is not perfectly perpendicular to the object where the vestige lies. Yet, it is quite easy to correct it if we follow the instructions by using a geometric homograph with an image editor software.
