The lack of a specific regulation that he contemplates from the point of view of the Law which is the protection that a minor must have, does that there take place situations of abandonment of the rights of the same ones.The opportunity of regulation has been left to escape in the future law of protection of the infancy, nowadays in phase of preliminary design, since it does not refer to the social networks since it had been desirable. The current procedure as for minors, as well as those of protection of information, between others, do not turn out to be sufficient to contemplate all the situations of risk that can be given in the above mentioned area. In the present work we propose to think on minors and social networks raising some legal questions, and trying to contribute some response to the problematics that appears in the juridical area.La participación en una sociedad cada vez más tecnológica hace que se planteen numerosos interrogantes sobre la protección de los sujetos más vulnerables, entre ellos los menores. La influencia de las redes sociales como instrumento de comunicación no está exenta de riesgos por la cantidad de información que se facilita y se comparte. La falta de una regulación específica que contemple desde el punto de vista del Derecho cuál es la protección que un menor debe tener, hace que se produzcan situaciones de desamparo de los derechos de los mismos. La oportunidad de regulación se ha dejado escapar en la futura ley de protección de la infancia, actualmente en fase de anteproyecto, ya que no hace referencia a las redes sociales como hubiera sido deseable. Las normas actuales en materia de menores, así como las de protección de datos, entre otras, no resultan suficientes para contemplar todas las situaciones de riesgo que pueden darse en dicho ámbito.
