Significant advances have been taking place in this area and they tend to create a more comprehensive and coherent legal framework on trafficking in persons. Thus, the human rights perspective is acquiring gradually more relevance in the adoption of measures to prevent and eradicate trafficking. The European Union regulations affect, increasingly, on the rights of the victims, as well as in their assistance and protection. Although human trafficking is included in the context of the fight against smuggling of migrants and transnational organized crime, its own and unique regulatory framework it's been created.La lucha contra la trata de seres humanos es uno de los objetivos que se ha marcada la Unión Europea y ha encontrado, desde hace tiempo, plasmaciones normativas muy relevantes. Los avances que se han venido produciendo en esta materia resultan significativos y tienden a crear un marco coherente y más completo sobre la trata de personas. La perspectiva de los derechos humanos adquiere, paulatinamente, más relevancia en las medidas a adoptar para prevenir y erradicar la trata de personas. Las normas de la Unión inciden, cada vez más, en los derechos de las víctimas, en su asistencia y protección.
