Laburpena: The democracy's principle can be understand as a european structural principle, deeply linked to the same existence and development of the concept in each of the european states and, at the same time, of the European Union Right. This character of the Principle of democracy is showed in the historical evolution of the term and in the structure of the concept as a general constitutional principle, but also the other principles that are related to it such as the separation of powers principle, the Constitution's supremacy principle, the submission to the law, the legal security's principle an the equality principle.
