AB  - The purpose of this work focuses on analyzing the type of leadership
candidates who competed in the 2012 presidential process. The contribution
of this paper provides a theoretical conceptualization of how
to understand the logic of competition between political parties, specifi
cally how to study leadership candidates. It uses a methodology that
defi nes administrative leaders strong, intermediate and weak, and is
contrasted with charismatic leaders in different degrees of cohesion.
To explain the success or failure of candidates is revised electoral strategy
and campaign team. Finally we refl ect on the impact of the dirty
war in the 2012 presidential process.
