Summary: Consideration of international law in the national legal system of the State, continues to grow. In this sense, the international community rushed to build a supranational legal arsenal, capable of harmonizing the increased divergence contained in the legal systems of States. Certainly, the importance given to international conventions is not determined by the mere fact of its ratification or non thereof but rather the appreciation of the legal system as a whole. However, the effectiveness of the international standard is problematic because it is often considered that it is likely to generate a loss of sovereignty and control of economic and social development of countries
