Sumario: This article deals with language to be used in arbitral proceedings and, especially, in consumer arbitrations; consumer arbitral proceedings established by the Royal Decree 231/2008, dated 15 February 2008, which is silent on the issue. This exposition will be done studying the evolution of Spanish Arbitration Acts on the issue and the significant step that has been taken by the new Spanish Arbitration Law Reform (Law 11/2011, dated 20 May, amending the Arbitration Law 60/2003, dated 23 December).
