Laburpena: To question the ways we conceive law is, at the beginning of the new century, the challenge for jurists. Among the many alternatives at hand, the study of law and literature acquires singular relevance since it´s interdisciplinariety gave us the chance to enrich our work with the views of other disciplines. From this critical space we can, then, question it´s assumptions, foundation, functions and legitimacy. This work aims to i) examine the links which can be established between both fields, ii) to show an historic view of the international achievements in these subjects, and iii) to question the ways in which these traditions build the links between law and literature.
