Summary: Looking up, with this study, a reflection about organized crime in Brazil, beginning by the definition of organized crime due to lack of a concept given by domestic legislation. So were appointed concepts of law thinkers. After, has been done a distinction on the criminal groups listed in the law 9.034/1995 - gang, organization and criminal association. Then, it explains on combating organized crime and Brazilian reality, aiming at pointing viable measures to tackle crime such as police intelligence, principal measure, and also the creation of mechanisms of cooperation and national intelligence databases, searching to effective more investments and provide additional qualification. Finally, it is of great importance to end up corruption.
