Sumario: This article aims to present proposals that take us closer to the concept of Fear Society, from an approach of development and evolution of the concept of fear and its sociological construction, also it develops Michel Foucault approaches with regard to the fear in society focuses on his arguments from the issue of power as a political instrument of social repression, the formulation of the thesis about role and development of fear in the society of control as a form of primitive cultural creation and ending with the origin of society of fear from the risk society, a term introduced by Ulrich Beck in 1986 as a result of restatements and establishment of new strategies to a society model and approaches that define the crisis of the welfare state as an engine of modern society of fear.
