Summary: |
Prehispanic objects bequests in wills of Indians (governor of Tucuman, 1608 and 1619) We present two wills of Indians of the Governor of Tucumán of interest because some of the legacies objects were related to pre-Hispanic ceremonial; its destruction had been advised in the sixteenth century by the missionaries who tried to eradicate the "idolatrías indígenas." These objects reappeared in some wills and in the rebellion led by a false Inca. In addition, the familiar and commercial networks of which Ynes and Quisma comprised lead again to the pre-Hispanic cacicazgo de Marapa and acllahuasi of Maquijata, whose tenuous characteristics we delimited in previous works; also they contribute data about "república de segundones y mestizos" that, as of century XVII, it comprised of the sociopolitical organization of Tucuman. Our commentaries are based on the reading and study of original documents, field work and bibliography on the subject. |
