The method used for this article was based fundamentally on the analytical method, by reading textbook approach to our object of study.A cada dia a sociologia jurídica, ou sociologia do direito, adquire maior importância nas faculdades de Direito, importância esta que reside nas perspectivas de análise que a sociologia jurídica oferece para o estudo da norma jurídica e sua relação com os fenômenos sociais. O artigo reflexiona sobre as características da sociologia jurídica e sua contribuição ao Direito. O método utilizado para a elaboração deste artigo é basicamente analítico, através de leitura livre de textos concernentes a nosso objeto de estudo.Cada día la sociología jurídica o sociología del derecho adquiere mayor importancia en las facultades de derecho, importancia que radica en las perspectivas de análisis que la sociología jurídica ofrece al estudio de la norma jurídica y su relación con los fenómenos sociales. El artículo reflexiona sobre las características que tiene la sociología jurídica y el aporte al derecho.
