Summary: Based on the concepts and practical constructions of the Civil Registry Law, the author pretends -in the most practical possible way- to make known the new direction of the Costa Rican Civil Registry Law by describing the achievements, efforts and projects that the Supreme Electoral Tribunal has developed by introducing new technologies in the registration of vital records. Thus it puts special emphasis on the changes in the remittance to the institution of the registration data and the form of publicizing them.
