AB  - On December 13, 2007, the International Court of Justice completely recognized
the sovereignty of Colombia over the islands of San Andrés, Providencia and
Santa Catalina, at the same time that it left for a merits decision other territorial
formations (Roncador, Serrana and Quitasueño), as well as the maritime
boundry between Colombia and Nicaragua. From this judgment a complete
analysis of the procedure is done until today and, with a contextualization
background of the decision issued in the delimitation between Nicaragua
and Honduras on October 8, 2007, are reviewed a series of scenarios of the
International Law that allow to the reader to obtain conclusions on what it
approaches to future in this process.
