The authors intend to provide a written memory as a management tool for the building projects carried out in Santiago de CubaEl artículo aborda el cumplimiento de normas y procedimientos jurídicos que intervienen en el proceso de gestión de los riesgos geológicos, durante la ejecución y explotación de las obras constructivas y de infraestructura en el municipio Santiago de Cuba. La indisciplina social y empresarial en la realización de obras constructivas, sin conocimientos científi cos y técnicos apropiados, así como el desconocimiento de regulaciones vigentes y las normas geotécnicas, sísmicas, etc. para los procesos constructivos y de infraestructura, son las causas fundamentales del riesgo geotécnico.
