In particular, this article analyses implemented policies and future prospects of cooperation between different Latin American countries to promote joint policies and actions in terms of eGovernment. The research contrasts the previous with a critical review of the so-called Europeanization, a concept of increasing interest in social sciences in view of its implementation in the European context of inter-governmental actions in public policies, in general, and e-Government, in particular. This aims to provide knowledge regarding the registered patterns of joint actions followed by Latin American countries in the promotion of eGovernment, as well as identifying concrete areas for future study, above all, as relates to setting priorities on governance interoperability in the public sector. In brief, the results of this article reposition the issue of interoperability in an area of policy and intergovernmental cooperation beyond a mere consideration of technical collaboration between different actors within the public sector.
