To this end, we examine the background that allowed Prof. Carlos Cossio de Buenos Aires, realize this important event. Then, we reconstruct Kelsen's movements during the long 67 days journey. Kelsen's conferences in Buenos Aires were preceded by a singular enthusiasm from the Egological School of Cossio, notwithstanding that the result was a serious rift between them. Trying to understand this outcome, we examined three dimensions: personal, political-academic and epistemological. The most plausible hypothesis for the author, is that the academic and political context surrounding the encounter, is the key to understand the outcome though frustrating for both theorists.
