Summary: Spanish Constitutional History is also de history of the Spanish legal scholars� conceptions about the Constitution, politics, the State and the legitimacy of power. Consequently, this article will describe these representations and the morphology of the successive legal and political paradigms during the Restoration, the Second Spanish Republic and the early years of Franco�s regime, as well as the role assigned to the constitutional law professor within these paradigms.
