AB  - Information and Communication (ICT) Technologies have become the primary tool for
organizations to become more competitive and productive. Within these ICT, telework is
seen as a very attractive option for today`s organizations that tend to search for higher level
professionals who enhance the services they provide to their customers, while minimizing
the costs that this entails. In Europe and USA, telework has been widely used for more
than 5 years and in Latin America, its introduction is recent. However, in Venezuela is
little known and much less used. This article seeks to document the reader on the meaning
and scope of teleworking and to explain to him the advantages of teleworking in order to
broadcast this new global trend.
