In Europe and USA, telework has been widely used for more than 5 years and in Latin America, its introduction is recent. However, in Venezuela is little known and much less used. This article seeks to document the reader on the meaning and scope of teleworking and to explain to him the advantages of teleworking in order to broadcast this new global trend.Las Tecnologías de Información y Comunicación (TIC), se han convertido en la herramienta primordial de las organizaciones para hacerse más competitivas y productivas. Dentro de estas TIC, se encuentra el teletrabajo, como una opción muy atractiva para las organizaciones actuales, tendente a la búsqueda de profesionales de alto nivel que creen valor? en los servicios que prestan a sus clientes, minimizando los costos que ello implica. En Europa y Estados Unidos, el teletrabajo es ampliamente utilizado desde hace más de 5 años y en América Latina, su introducción es reciente. No obstante, en Venezuela es poco conocido y mucho menos empleado.
