On July 24, 2008 the Constitutional Court handed down a ruling on the Trade
promotion agreement between the Republic of Colombia and the United States
of America, its attached correspondence, statements of intent and modifying
protocols which were agreed upon by the Congress of the Republic of Colombia
through the passage of Bill 1143 of 2007 and Bill 1166 of 2007 (Nov 4). Seven
Constitutional court judges voted in favor of its constitutionality, one against
and one recused himself. |
