The various factors, which are relevant in the migration phenomenon, had moved European Union to reflect about its intervention capabilities on this matter. As a result, EU has elaborated European mechanisms and collaboration politics, which are characterized by their «transversal» and «preventive» character. All of them are orientated to establish an area of stability around Europe. The objective is to build not only a political and economical dialogue, but also social, cultural and human channels of communication with third countries in other to create a common area of security and stability. The European Neighborhood Politics -inside the ENPI program- and the Euro Mediterranean Association (a.k.a. Barcelona Process) have got an important role in the developing process of European politics of integration on this matter. Both of them, ENP and Barcelona Process, had been studied in this paper. |
