The lower class woman works in industry or agriculture. Some women from middle classes timidly enter the world of work. The second part is about the pro-Franco period. At the beginning, traditional criteria still prevail. Foreign relations and economic expansion entail middle classes and then women's condition changes for the better during the sixties. The third part goes from Transition until nowadays. Legislation abandons politic favouring mothers, preferring parity. The Spanish woman moves away from the wifemother standard, having more and more access to the world of work and political responsibilities.La primera parte abarca el final del siglo XIX y las primeras décadas del siglo XX. La Revolución Industrial supone una organización social burguesa. La mujer burguesa, esposa y madre, queda apartada de los negocios y de la política. La mujer de las clases populares trabaja en la industria o en la agricultura. Algunas mujeres de clase media ingresan tímidamente en el mundo laboral. La segunda parte se refiere al periodo franquista. En la primera etapa siguen dominando los criterios tradicionales. Los contactos exteriores y el desarrollo económico suponen el auge de la clase media, generando una evolución de la condición femenina en los 60. La tercera parte se extiende desde la transición hasta nuestros días. La legislación abandona la política a favor de la mujer como madre de familia para preferir la paridad.
