There is a need for a strengthened guarantee for the enjoyment of the rights of the disabled, furthermore, on the assumption of imprisonment. In the Spanish case the actions undertaken by the authorities in relation to the disabled persons in prisons, have been long deficient, regardless of the fact that on recent years some studies on the subject have been carried out revealing unsolved issues that undoubtedly demand a remaking of the approach on the subject.Dans ce travail est abordée la situation des handicapés dans les centres pénitentiaires. La nécessité d�une garantie renforcée pour l�exercice des droits des handicapés est accentuée de manière singulière dans les hypothèses de réclusion. Dans le cas espagnol l�activité des autorités par rapport à cette problématique a été pendant beaucoup de temps déficitaire, bien que aux dernières années quelques études ont commencé à être élaborées sur ce sujet qui ont mis en évidence des problèmes encore non résolus et qui exigent sans doute une nouvelle élaboration des approches dans la matière.Se aborda en este trabajo la situación de las personas con discapacidad en los centros penitenciarios. La necesidad de una garantía reforzada para el ejercicio de los derechos de las personas con discapacidad se acentúa de forma singular en los supuestos de reclusión.
