Each worker completed an occupational history and the Nordic Standardized Questionnaire. 67.4% of the participants reported musculoskeletal symptoms. The highest prevalence of symptoms was observed in the 36 to 40 year old age group. Bricklayer helpers (23.3%) and laborers (13.33%) were the most affected occupations. Low back was the most affected body part(50.6%), followed by the shoulders (13.25%). No statistically significant associations were found between symptoms and either age (X2 = 7,19) or BMI (X2 = 0,33). The observed high prevalence of musculoskeletal symptoms among workers in this economic sector indicates.
